Introduction

The Medical Laboratory Technology program at Edu Hub Medical College Pakistan is designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge needed to work as competent medical laboratory technologists. This program focuses on developing proficiency in a wide range of laboratory procedures, sample handling, diagnostic testing, and quality assurance practices. Graduates of the Medical Laboratory Technology program will be able to:

  • Perform routine and advanced laboratory procedures, including blood tests, urinalysis, and microbiological cultures.
  • Safely preserve, process, and evaluate biological samples from clinical settings.
  • Understand medical terminology and interpret laboratory reports for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
  • Maintain laboratory records, manage stock solutions, and ensure up-to-date methodologies.
  • Perform phlebotomy procedures and manage sample handling for various pathology sections.
  • Conduct tests in hematology, including blood grouping, cross-matching, and coagulation profiles.
  • Assist in bone marrow procedures and perform special stains for diagnostic purposes.
  • Carry out immunological assays and biochemical tests using automated systems.
  • Prepare tissue slides for microscopic examination and perform special stains as requested by clinicians.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum Qualification: Matric with Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) – 2nd Division (unadjusted) and combined total of science subjects not less than 45%.
  • Age: Maximum 35 years on the last date of applying for admission (both for Government/ Private candidate.
