Introduction

The Ophthalmology Technology program at Edu Hub Medical College Pakistan is designed to train students in the specialized skills required for diagnosing and treating eye-related conditions. This program focuses on hands-on training in various diagnostic procedures and techniques used by ophthalmologists. Students will learn to operate sophisticated ophthalmic equipment, assist in patient care, and support ophthalmic surgeries, ultimately contributing to improved vision care and treatment outcomes.

Graduates of the Ophthalmology Technology program will be able to:

Perform essential eye tests, including visual acuity measurement, refractometry, and tonometry

Measure pupil size, eye pressure, and eye muscle function, providing valuable data for diagnosis.

Conduct corneal thickness and curvature measurements, as well as corneal topography.

Perform advanced diagnostic tests like retinal nerve fiber layer measurement, fluorescein angiography, and A/B-scan ultrasonography.

Assist in fitting contact lenses and provide patient education on their use and care.

Prepare patients for in-office procedures and assist during surgical procedures in ophthalmology.

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification: Matric with Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) – 2nd Division (unadjusted) and combined total of science subjects not less than 45%.
Age: Maximum 35 years on the last date of applying for admission (both for Government/ Private candidate.
